I've finally decided to withdraw my earnings through oDesk's LFT (local funds transfer) method. This is my first attempt at earnings withdrawal with oDesk, and I must admit, I'm a little, well, anxious. We're talking about 2 months of 2 - 4 hour days of freelancing, on top of my full-time job.
Since I made the transfer yesterday, Sunday, and today is a U.S. holiday - Memorial Day - I'm guessing my request will be processed tomorrow, Tuesday. And if the 3 - 5 business day processing is to hold true, I should at least receive what I should be receiving on Friday, Tuesday next week at the most. I've done some snooping around the Internet regarding oDesk's LFT to the Philippines, and so far, I've been getting sterling reviews.
Still, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. As they say, it ain't over 'til it's over.
Oh, and yes, in case you might be wondering, the banking details I supplied oDesk were all correct - to my knowledge, at least. (And I know for a fact that my eyesight can be bad sometimes. Now why isn't that so comforting?)
I guess we'll just have to see what happens from here.
Monday night, I received an e-mail from oDesk informing me that the request for transfer had been processed and that the amount should be received by Friday. Guess what? After the 10:30 p.m. scheduled maintenance at my bank's online portal on the 30th, the amount was successfully deposited into my account.
In conclusion, oDesk's LFT system really works!
